DFR Kwakudi: Elevating Electrical Systems at Colleen Glen School
In 2008, DFR Kwakudi was selected by the LDM Consortium and Coega Development Corporation to undertake a vital project at Colleen Glen Primary School. The task was to conduct a thorough engineering survey of the school's electrical installation and offer professional consulting services. After nearly a decade of dedicated work, the project was successfully completed in 2017, with a total value of R18 million.
Project Scope and Objectives:
The key objectives of the project were:
Inspecting the existing electrical installation: DFR Kwakudi assessed the functionality of the current system, ensuring it met safety and operational standards.
Evaluating capacity for future load increases: With potential future expansions in mind, our engineers inspected whether the system could handle increased electrical demands.
Understanding the school’s needs: A compulsory briefing meeting was held with school stakeholders to establish specific requirements and address concerns. This allowed us to provide tailored solutions that aligned with the school’s growth and sustainability plans.
